Behind the museum, you will find the Fairview City Jail, one of the more interesting historical landmarks in Fairview, built-in 1915. There was never much need for a jail in Fairview, so it seems. There is little evidence that exists, although records show that after being arrested, Roy Erison was held on September 12, 1916, only to be turned over to the Sheriff the next day. Folklore has it that a few Halloween pranksters were being held on occasion until midnight to “cool down” after the night’s entertainment.

Spend family outings at Salish Ponds Wetland Park. The park offers a range of recreational activities like hiking the nature trail along with the ponds or an opportunity to fish in the lake—summer fun at its absolute best.
