There are so many Saint Patrick’s Day events in the Portland area, making picking one a difficult task. One of the best Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations in our area is the family-friendly Sellwood-Moreland’s 20th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade!

The festivities will commence with the Sellwood Middle School Marching Band leading a long parade that will feature fire trucks, police motorcycles, and bagpipes! The parade route circles through the streets of Sellwood-Moreland, beginning and ending at Saint Agatha School. Afterward, enjoy the Irish themed festival. At the carnival-like event, there will be a cakewalk, as well as Irish music and dancing. In addition to entertainment, there will be tasty food from local food trucks and Ireland’s famous Guinness beer. The parade begins at noon, with the festival starting immediately after at 12:30 PM and lasting until 5:00 PM.

The best part of all? This event is free! The Sellwood-Moreland’s 20th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade will be held rain or shine, so be sure to check the weather before attending. The tenants of The Lodges at Lake Salish are lucky, as the Columbia Gorge Outlets are just a 7-minute car ride away. On Black Friday, the Outlets will be Mecca! They will open at 6 pm on Thanksgiving evening and remain open until 1 am. Then, they will re-open early on Black Friday. This will be your chance to get a jump on your holiday shopping.
