The new year brings with a chance to begin again, which often means New Year’s resolutions. Unfortunately, most resolutions fall by the wayside come March. Instead of making a bunch of resolutions that might not last, here are a few alternative ideas to try in 2018.
Make a Bucket List
Why not make a bucket list for the year ahead? Maybe you want to try a new food. Or perhaps you want to finally get to that one book you’ve been meaning to read. Making a bucket list is way more exciting and less restrictive than a list of resolutions. Plus, you have all year long to accomplish your goals! You can even consider making a 2018 bucket list for the entire family or with your partner. Get creative!
Focus on a 30-Day Challenge
Instead of trying to focus on a bunch of things all at once, give yourself a 30-day challenge. Let’s say you’re trying to get organized in 2018. Focus on decluttering one aspect of your life, one day at a time. Let’s say you finally organize your digital photos one afternoon. Or, you can spend one day finally getting the Tupperware organized. The key is to focus on small tasks each day for 30 days.
