Winter Activities by Your Apartments in Fairview

“Are the days of winter sunshine just as sad for you, too? When it is misty, in the evenings, and I am out walking by myself, it seems to me that the rain is falling through my heart and causing it to crumble into ruins.” ― Gustave Flaubert, November

With winter here, it’s time to prepare. As you know, winter in the Pacific Northwest can be pretty bleak. This is why it’s important to have distractions.

Did you ever consider writing, but just didn’t know where to start? Perhaps this winter, in your cozy apartments in Fairview, you could start to explore your thoughts on paper. Whether it’s a book, short story, poem, or screenplay you have in mind, there are tons of resources around you to develop your writing skills in Fairview.

First, I recommend going to the nearest Target in Fairview and investing in a journal and pen that just feels right to you. Having the proper writing tools is one of the keys to getting into that zone you need to write. Also, consider setting up a cozy spot in your apartments that keeps you focused as well. Who knows, maybe this winter is the perfect time to launch your career as a writer. Check out this article to get started.

If writing isn’t an interest of yours, look at Eventbrite to see what exciting activities are going on in Fairview. How will you make the best out of this winter?

Alternative New Year’s Resolutions to Make in 2018

resolutionsThe new year brings with a chance to begin again, which often means New Year’s resolutions. Unfortunately, most resolutions fall by the wayside come March. Instead of making a bunch of resolutions that might not last, here are a few alternative ideas to try in 2018.

Make a Bucket List

Why not make a bucket list for the year ahead? Maybe you want to try a new food. Or perhaps you want to finally get to that one book you’ve been meaning to read. Making a bucket list is way more exciting and less restrictive than a list of resolutions. Plus, you have all year long to accomplish your goals! You can even consider making a 2018 bucket list for the entire family or with your partner. Get creative!

Focus on a 30-Day Challenge

Instead of trying to focus on a bunch of things all at once, give yourself a 30-day challenge. Let’s say you’re trying to get organized in 2018. Focus on decluttering one aspect of your life, one day at a time. Let’s say you finally organize your digital photos one afternoon. Or, you can spend one day finally getting the Tupperware organized. The key is to focus on small tasks each day for 30 days.
